Abutilon megapotamicum is a stunning shrub with beautiful scarlet red and yellow flowers. This shrub will flower throughout summer so long as it’s in good quality soil. Abutilon megapotamicum originates from mountainous valleys of Brazil and has a rather laxed growth habit which means it can be easily tied in as a wall shrub and treated like a climber. Abutilon megapotamicum thrives in good quality free draining soil in full sun to part shade. Abutilon megapotamicum is hardy to -7C so needs a sheltered spot or can be grown in tub and brought into a cold conservatory or cold greenhouse to over winter. Flowers June to October. AGM
