Undoubtedly the hardiest abutilon to grow outside other than Abutilon x suntense this one is a pure white form much nicer than wishy washy lilac strains of Abutilon vitifolium. Yes it is hardy (in the East Midlands anyway) so long as its sited in the right spot. I have one outside my window that survived taken last winter 2010/11 with no problems. Its flush of large white blooms are a treat in spring with sporadic flowering later on through the summer. If left un checked it will make a small tree. Abutilons like a sunny free draining spot so if your on clay like me add grit. Plants are between 1 and 2ft in 1.4l pots.
