X hibanobambusa tranquillans 'Shiroshima' beautiful variegated bamboo that will cope with shade as well as sun, like all bamboos it will suffer if kept in a pot plant for long so plant straight out as soon as weather permits. Forms a nice neat clump only occasionally suckers but this plant is by no means invasive. Aventually height is 3.5m tall although in my garden has never got any bigger than 2.5m after ten years in the ground. Plants are 40cm 5 litre pots
