Corylus maxima 'Purpurea is a stunning hazel with deep oppulent purple foliage if sited in a bright spot. In Winter before the the leaves emerge Corylus maxima purpurea has beauitful red/pink catkins that adorn the braches. In late Summer the Corylus maxima purpurea is laiden with edilble nuts. This is a very reliable shrub with several seasons of interst and it will grow in almost any soil so long as its relatively free draining. AGM. Plants suppilied 40-50cm tall in 5 litre pots.
